Husband and I visited for a birthday meal. Booked ahead. Lovely aperitif in the garden, excellent attentive service. Enough choice but not too much . Food delicious especially starters of quail and sea trout. Petit cours and coffee in the secluded garden rounded it off. Good value for money. Only slight downside is dated interior made it quite dark but not sure you could modernise it without ruining years of history. Perfect for foodies and those wanting to impress someone!

From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly and looked after us very well all evening. Every course was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Between us we had nearly all the choices on the menu and everything was such a high standard. I would highly recommend Mortimers and thank you for a wonderful evening.

5 stars all the way every time. Our go to fine dining restaurant in Ludlow.
Celebrated my 50th Birthday & was handsomely looked after - fabulous food & service is impeccable every time. Chief Wayne’s Tasting menu with the flight of wines is always the way to go - such a treat every time. Unbelievable pairings with extremely knowledgable staff. They run an excellent team. Can’t wait to return.

Highly recommend this restaurant the food & service was outstanding. Camilla & her team were so helpful. We booked the private dining room at the back of the restaurant for 13 of us for a friend’s hen do. We were able to have access that afternoon to decorate the room. We had veggies & gluten free options to cater for & a menu was created to accommodate all the dietary requirements, this was printed on A4 card a nice touch. The food was outstanding highly recommend this restaurant. We had a glass of fizz on arrival in the Oak Room at the front of the restaurant. Camilla, thank you to your team for making this such a memorable meal everything was perfect

If you want to take someone special somewhere special, this is the place. I've been three times now and it keeps getting better. The food is outstanding – I'd highly recommend the tasting menu... and the service is understated but attentive.
